Jeff Murtaugh has more than 37 years in commercial, residential, investment, management, brokerage, development, entitlement, stabilization, lease up and disposition of all sectors of real estate. Jeff is a Partner of Kinetic Companies, and is the President and CEO of Realty Executives Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Green Valley and Tubac, Arizona. As one of Kinetic Companies operating assets, the Realty Executives company includes over 1,000 agents/brokers in 16 offices generating more than $2.7 billion in annual sales. As a “Top 25 Real Estate Company in the US” (according to Real Trends rankings) Jeff manages the day-to-day operations and closing of approximately 15,000 real estate sides annually. Mr. Murtaugh also oversees the day-to-day affiliate company holdings such as title, mortgage, and many other associated asset services for the Realty Executives franchise
As a leader in the national defaulted asset market, Mr. Murtaugh has sold assets in 38 states, brokering over $2.5 billion in aggregate consideration in this facet of his career alone. Mr. Murtaugh has syndicated, formed, and partnered on numerous companies and assets nationwide raising over $100 million in equity. His vast operations experience has included past direct management and daily control of Long Commercial and Best Companies. His extensive brokerage career spans nearly four decades while building over 1,300 production and spec custom homes throughout the southwestern United States.
Mr. Murtaugh is a 42 year resident of Tucson and grew up in Lexington, MA, and attended New Preparatory High School in Harvard Square, Cambridge, and Northeastern University, Boston.
Responsible for Southern Arizona operations: Tucson Metro, Green Valley and Tubac. John has a leadership philosophy with a "boots on the ground" approach, and is not afraid to be "in the trenches" with the agents that fill our offices. Mr. Dwyer is very hands on and leads with a service minded approach in the real estate industry.
John has been in a sales and management role since his University of Arizona days. He began his management career in the retail environment until he launched his real estate career in the early 80's in Tucson. During the 80's and until 1992 he was a successful real estate agent. In 1992 he was named Branch Manager of Long Realty Company's Central Office, a position he held for 11 years. During the last few years of his tenure as Manager of Long's Central Office he concurrently held the position of Regional Manager overseeing the operation of a number of their offices. John was then promoted to VP and General Manager for Long Realty Company.
After retiring from Long Realty in 2005, John acted in a consulting role for two brokerages in Phoenix to help them increase their overall growth and profitability until he was recruited by Lending Tree to establish and grow their real estate brokerage business under the name of RealEstate.com. John's position was VP and General Manager for RealEstate.com; LendingTree's Southwest Real Estate Operations.
John joined Realty Executives in 2012 and has been a driving force in the Tucson, Green Valley and Tubac growth.
Mark L. Shinn
Provides leadership in the areas of Legal and Regulatory Compliance and provides Direct Agent Support in these areas.
Mark fervently believes it's easier to prevent problems before they occur to ensure clients receive a great customer service experience from their agent. By taking this approach he also helps agents and their clients minimize potential legal exposure and the inconvenience that results when "things don't go right." As such, he's devoted to advising and educating the Company's "Executives" about best practices in the conduct of their real estate business, as well as "doing it right the first time." Mark feels his efforts in these regards are well worth his time and effort, because he knows knowlegeable, well informed, real estate professionals mean happy clients and more business.
Mark has over thirty years of real estate experience that includes owning and operating Old Adobe Realty until it merged with Realty Executives in April 2013. Mark served as Designated Broker for his real estate company giving him the long term expertise necessary to fulfill his current position. Mark is proud to say, "During my 25 years as Designated Broker, I had no claims, lawsuits, mediatons or arbitrations." In addition, Mark is a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) and is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS).
Rounding out Mr. Shinn's real estate background was co-management of a hundred million dollar, high-end real estate project in Mexico.
Having graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Arizona, Mark is an ardent "Wildcat" supporter.
As the Director of Agent Recruiting and Agent Satisfaction Deneve Doering brings over 18 years of accounting, mortgage processing and customer service experience to the Realty Executives Tucson, Green Valley and Tubac team.
Deneve is driven to attract experienced, productive and highly qualified real estate professionals to the Company's rapidly growing team of real estate "Executives." When she's not busy growing our family of "Executives" she's directly involved in ensuring our existing team of "Executives" is receiving responsive, "top notch," business support. She knows her efforts make a significant contribution to making Realty Executives Tucson, Green Valley and Tubac an exciting and fulfilling place for an agent to do their business.
Deneve truly represents the “high touch” and "agent centric" philosophy that Realty Executives in Southern Arizona is known for. She believes, "if you hire the best they deserve the best."
